Advantages of Matrix Composites in Defense Industry

In order to raise awareness regarding the benefits of matrix composite materials in defense applications, Alvant will attend DSEI 2019, particularly the one which have the requirement of high-strength struts, lightweight, panels, linkages, as well as, tubes, for use in sea, land, and air systems.

The event which will be held from 10th September till 13th September at Excel London will also be seeing the Aluminium Matrix Composites maker focus on advanced applications like manned, as well as, unmanned aerial vehicles and customized special vehicles.

Four Aluminium Matrix Composites families are being produced by Alvant:

Alvant produces four AMC families: ParXal, which is a particle loaded AMC, AlXal, which is a continuous fiber-reinforced AMC, AerXal, which is an aluminum syntactic foam, and lastly CorXal, which is a distinctive high-performance multi-phase AMC that has similar concepts as of a sandwich material, however, manufactured in a single-shot process providing low density and ultra-high stiffness. ALvant is capable of designing, as well as, manufacturing components in all of its materials in order to satisfy the requirements of the customer.
